Prohibited items
- Narcotics, controlled drugs and psychotropic substances
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and replicas
- Currency, bearer bonds, cheques and precious metals in bulk
- Counterfeit or pirated goods
- Hazardous, flammable, corrosive or toxic materials
- Live animals, human remains and biological samples (without special approval)
- Pornographic, obscene or offensive material
Restricted items (approval and documents required)
- Lithium batteries and electronics containing batteries
- Perfumes, aerosols and alcohol-based products
- Medicines and supplements (prescription and quantity limits)
- Food, spices, seeds, plants and wooden items
- Cosmetics and liquids
- Jewellery, watches and high-value goods
- Textiles and leather in commercial quantities
Accurate declaration
Never describe goods only as "gift", "sample" or "personal items". State what each item is, its material, quantity and value. Incorrect declarations can result in fines, returns or seizure, and the shipper is legally responsible for the contents.
